The animonautes studio” was formed in 2004 in the Netherlands and specialised in the production of communication material to support the space industry (European Space Agency – ESA) and the biotechnology sector. “The animonautes” created an extensive and specialised portfolio covering the need of artistic visualisation, reconstruction and explanation in the fields of science and technology.

Part of “The animonautes” work has been broadcasted by TV NEWS programmes of distinctive TV channels (e.g. CNN, BBC, France 2, TV5, Euronews, Discovery Channel, WDR), incorporated in specialised scientific TV productions and has formed an important part of the communication material of the ESA-sciences department (3d animations & 3d illustrations,  brochures, posters, website content production).

In October 2004 the studio relocated in Thessaloniki, Greece. As freelancer, Eugenia Tiktapanidou created many 2D and 3D animations  for video productions, TV adverts and idents before concentrating on storytelling, particularly for science- and specializing in the creation of movies for planetariums (Eugenides Planetarium, NOESIS), museums and stereoscopic cinemas. “The animonautes” studio contributed to the stereoscopic movie “I reach the light” for the Museum of cinema of Thessaloniki, created several sequences for the Eugenides Planetarium, and directed videos for the dissemination of the weKnowIt european project, before writing and co-producing the 25 minutes fulldome movie “the Earth and me” back in 2011.

The services of the studio spans from the production of 3D/2D animated sequences, video editing and graphic design to the production of interactive applications and educational animated material.
